And this is the part no one expects
Record workouts on Apple Watch. The whole screen changes colour with your heart rate zone, so you can see your effort at a glance. Your workout also informs your food budget.
The same dish can be prepared very differently at home or in a restaurant. Agni asks about cooking style to refine the estimate, then lets you check the ingredients and portions.
Agni estimates the dish as a whole, and separately estimates each ingredient it can see. The two readings will not add up to the same figure, and the app says so rather than hiding it. Where they differ tells you how settled the estimate is.
These are estimates from a photograph, not measurements. They are a well-informed starting point that you can check and correct.
Agni shows which assumptions move the number most, so you can correct the one that matters rather than every line. When an ingredient is not in its food table, it says so instead of inventing a figure for it.
Agni reads your recent weeks from Apple Health and forecasts the whole day from them, rather than relying only on a generic estimate from height, weight and age. A diagnostics screen in Settings lists exactly which readings produced your number: how many valid days it found, your median resting energy, and your median active energy.
The two are budgeted separately, because your body does not spend the same on both. On a workout morning Agni asks once which kind of day it is, and you can change it yourself at any point.
Sleep is read from Apple Health, so any source that writes there counts, including an Oura ring that shares its data with Apple Health. It forms part of how the day is assessed.
